Student Recruitment Commercial for Sirius Academy

We were absolutely delighted to work with Sirius Academy North and West on these promotional videos. The brief was simple: to focus on the success of a former Sirius student. We have created cinematic, inspiring and emotive content which we are extremely proud of. 

We planned this project over several days and liaised with Sirius to ensure the content we were planning was exactly what they had in mind. We put together storyboards, a script and a shot list before heading out on location at each school, and then several other locations.

The team at Astor agonised for many hours over which clips to use in the videos, but when we watched the final product, we knew we had got it right.

Our friends over at Sirius Academy got in touch with us and asked us to create a new advert to attract new students. The primary vision was of a student, who once studied at Sirius Academy who had gone on to study at one of the leading universities in the UK.

We worked with Sirius a lot on this project. The first step we took was creating a script which matched the message and vision they had. The result – an inspiring story that follows a Sirius alumni reminiscing about his time there.

When Astor receives a brief like this, we thrive as it gives us a chance to show what we’re made of. We carefully planned for several days before shooting over three days – including outside City Hall in Hull City Centre. It was vital we caught the locality. Every shot we took meant something – it all played a part in telling the overall message. We then spent around a week finalising the project before sending the two adverts over to Sirius who have now published the videos on their social media and websites.
